Frequently asked questions

Can you learn Greek for free?

Yes — the entire A1 level is free, no credit card: alphabet, first words, grammar and self-correcting exercises. Levels A2 to Γ2 are included in the subscription, with a free trial.

How long does it take to learn Greek?

Expect about 100 hours to hold a simple conversation (A1–A2) and 600–750 hours for an advanced level. At 20–30 minutes a day, you clear a level in a few months.

Do I need to know the Greek alphabet to start?

No. You start with the alphabet itself: a few days of practice and you’ll read Greek. All content uses Greek script, never Latin transliteration.

Does grecfacile prepare for the Ελληνομάθεια certificate?

Yes — every level includes timed mock exams in the official format of the ΚΕΓ Greek certificate, graded automatically.

Is it suitable for children?

Yes, from age 8: short exercises, games, mythology retold in easy Greek, and a Family plan for up to 4 learners.
